WE JUST PURCHASED A 71 SUPER BEE, IT IS A 383 4SPEED, IT HAS 87,000 MILES AND HAS IT'S ORIGINAL SHEET METAL., EXCEPT AN AIR GRABBER HOOD WAS ADDED. THE CAR HAS A BENCH SEAT, AND CAME WITH A GO WING. WE HAVE THE BUILD SHEET. THE ENGINE HAS NOT BEEN REBUILT OR APART, THE ONLY THING DONE TO THE ENGINE IS A NEW TIMING CHAIN AND GEARS WERE INSTALLED AND AFTERMARKET CHROME VALVE COVERS WERE INSTALLED. THE CAR IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE, AND WAS RUSTPROOFED WHEN NEW. THE UNDERSIDE OF THE CAR LOOKS GREAT AND WE HAVE SEEN PICTURES OF IT BEFORE IT WAS REPAINTED AND IT IS IN VERY GOOD SHAPE. WE HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A 71 SUPER BEE FOR A YEAR, YOU DON''T SEE MANY AROUND AT ALL. WHEN I GRADUATED FROM HIGH SCHOOL BACK IN 77 I HAD PURCHASED A 71 CHARGER AND REALLY LIKED THE CAR AND ALTHOUGH IT WAS NOT A SUPER BEE I WOULD ALWAYS LOOK FOR THAT YEAR CHARGER, AND HAVE ONLY SEEN 2, 71 SUPER BEE'S IN 25 YEARS. I AM IN THE PROCESS OF GOING OVER THE CAR NOW, I AM GOING TO PULL THE ENGINE AND REPAINT THE ENGINE AND ENGINE BAY, I AM REPLACING THE CLUTCH SET-UP WITH THE CORRECT 10.95" CLUTCH AND NOT THE 10.5" CLUTCH THAT IS IN THE CAR NOW, I AM JUST GOING TO SPEND THE WINTER MAINTAINING THE CAR AND CHECKING IT OVER.
OUR SUPER BEE IS HIGH IMPACT BUTTERSCOTCH AND THE PAINT CODE IS EL5 AND IT IS THE ORIGINAL COLOR . WE HAD GALEN GOVIER APPRAISE THE VEHICLE BEFORE WE PURCHASED THE CAR AND HE REISTERED THE CAR IN THE REGISTRY, I THINK IT WAS NUMBER 43 OF 46.
I HAVE A FORM , FROM GALEN,THAT STATES THAT OUR CAR IS NOW IN THE CHRYSLER REGISTRY . IT GOES ON, TO STATE THAT IT IS # 42 OF 46 IN SEQUENCE OF 71 383-4BBL SUPER BEE 2DR HT REGISTERED, BUILT AT THE LYNCH RD PLANT, SOLD IN THE USA. IN SMALLER TYPE ON THE BOTTOM OF THE FORM IT STATES REGISTERED
