This is the second 71 Superbee we've owned. The first one was purchased in September of 1991 and sold nine years later. This Bee was an early build car assembled on August 27n of 1970 at the Lynch Rd. plant. A 383, Column shifted iutomatic with bench seat interior. Standard bulge hood. GBS Exterior paint color. Cunently the car has a non-original motor and transmission. I was able to trace the motor and trans to a 71 Bee that was actually built on the same line on September 2nd 1970, five days after mine. Same color combination, exterior and interior. Some time in the past, probably when the motor and trans were swapped the interior was changed to bucket seats with a console. The other addition was a RamCharger hood.
